Nameless Face - By: Joe Gallagher
It has been years...I saw you today...a man...no name...just a face. Time stopped... when you looked at me...I shook your hand...Tears in my eyes...Your features still fuzzy just as I remember them... When last we met half a world away...I was bloody...broken...defeated. I wanted to tell you what I've done. With this gift...of life...you gave... unknowingly...unselfishly. I saw your family there...these years later...with you at the beach...Unknowing of the hero that lived with them every day...”Who's that daddy?” your son asked...”A soldier I met once.” You said....”Your father saved my life I said...” I'm just hoping to be worthy of the gift you gave... my life...Thank you... Jim.
